Sometimes, there are rare and wondrous items that cross from our world into the game world, and vice versa. In that vein, artifacts from the Hidden Worlds have leaked into our reality and have become Real World Artifacts that can be used in the game.

How do you find these elusive artifacts? Find the One-Legged GM booth or Bryan Donihue at any con or event, and they will likely have some on them. For a price. It might require a demo game to be played. It might require listening to a spiel about a new release. Or the OLGM himself, Bryan, may give in to his Chaotic Evil GM nature and require some other sacrifice. (We try to keep him in check. We really do.) Some of these precious artifacts are also available in limited quantities for purchase from the One -Legged GM.

Official artifacts are listed below, and will usually contain the official logos. The rules for using each artifact are generally listed on the artifacts themselves where available – except for that dastardly Agent Mulligan. He ignored our design criteria. Enjoy.

NOTE to GMs: As always, your table is your table, and yo have final say on the appropriate use of the Artifacts listed below. Embrace the chaos and have fun.

NOTE to Players: Don’t be jerks. Seriously. Enjoy the Artifacts, but treat your GM well.

NOTE to Players and GMs: In general, the player that brought the RWA is the one to use it, and, unless specified, may only be used on the user’s character. Each player is only allowed to use a maximum of TWO (2) different RWAs per game session. Unless otherwise noted, each individual type of RWA is only allowed to be used a maximum of TWO (2) time in a single session.

  • For those who are lucky enough to have met Agent Mulligan, he has passed on his luck to you. As a holder of this artifact you are able to affect one (and only one) SC or OC per game session. To use this Artifact, you must be in possession of it. Show it to your GameMaster and then change any one die roll to an Exploding Crit–either Exploding Up or Exploding Down.

If you use this Artifact to Explode Up, add (+20) to the original BASE of the Core Skill or Proficiency, and then roll the die again and add it. This is treated as an original Exploding Crit (Up).

If you use the Artifact to Explode Down, add (+1) to the original BASE of the Core Skill or Proficiency, and then roll the die again and subtract that number. This is treated as an original Exploding Crit (Down).

This Artifact may only be used once per game session. This TYPE of Artifact (Agent Mulligan’s Critically Acclaimed Undo) can only be used twice during any game session. That means only two different people may use their Agent Mulligan’s Critically Acclaimed Undo.

Unlike some other Artifacts, this Artifact does not require the user to give up ownership once used. The original owner may keep it as long as they please.

  • Your character has a potion that is an Elixir of Life (+5). This RWA offers a (+5) modifier ONCE PER GAME SESSION.

The player can choose one (and only one) of the following options per session:

    • If this tumbler contains a HOT liquid, the tumbler can provide a ONE TIME (+5) modifier to either a Disease Resistance SC or Poison Resistance SC.

    • If this tumbler contains a COLD liquid, the tumbler can provide a ONE TIME (+5) modifier to either a Life Pool or Soul Pool Healing SC.

    • If this tumbler contains a CAFFEINATED liquid, the tumbler can provide a ONE TIME (+5) bonus to the character’s Current Life Pool (up to the character’s Maximum Life Pool).

    • If this tumbler contains basic WATER (wit h or without ice), the tumbler can provide a ONE TIME (+5) bonus to the character’s Current Soul Pool (up to the character’s Maximum Soul Pool). NOTE: Water must be the liquid, it can’t be just part of the base liquid. Coffee or Tea are not Water.

    • If this tumbler is empty (or just has a few drops in it), the tumbler can provide ANY of the above options.

NOTE: The bonuses are one-time per session only, even if the tumbler is refilled during the game session.

  • Restore Corps Super Retcon – It Didn’t Really Happen That Way.

Super Retcon can be used only ONE TIME per session – IF the cup currently has liquid in it and is present at the gaming session.

After an action has been taken (aka – the dice rolled), the player WHO TOOK THE ACTION can announce a Super Retcon. The action is then “RetConned” and retroactively changed to a different action – any new dice roll must be used.

NOTE: The new action CANNOT be affected by any other RWA or Destiny Point usage, and it CANNOT affect an RWA or Destiny Point usage. There can only be a maximum of TWO (2) Super RetCons used during any particular game session. There can only be one Super RetCon used per player per session.

  • Who Had “Socially Distanced Monster Hunting” On Their 2020 Disaster Bingo?

If there is liquid in the tumbler, and it is at the gaming session, the player may cause another character that is within a distance of “2” to move another distance of “2” away – in a random direction (use the random direction table from Combat rules).

NOTE: This can only be used ONCE per gaming session. It CANNOT be used to counteract or change the effects of any other RWA or Destiny Point, nor can any other RWA or Destiny Point interfere with the use of this RWA.

  • I Know I’ve Got Something In My Bag That Will Help!

If the bag was used to store or bring the player’s game materials to the game, then the player can, ONCE per session, claim that they have something in their bag that will help their character in the game.

The player will make a suggestion or two about what the object their character has on them, and the GM will make the final decision. The object will be beneficial to the player at that time, and MUST be able to fit in the bag (without any extra dimensional help).

NOTE: This can only be used ONCE per gaming session. It CANNOT be used to counteract or change the effects of any other RWA or Destiny Point, nor can any other RWA or Destiny Point interfere with the use of this RWA.

  • I Need Some Healing… Maybe?

This Artifact allows the player to modify the results of a Healing Roll (either Life Pool or Soul Pool) under the following conditions:

    • If the coaster is face up, and

    • If there is a drink container on the coaster, and

    • If the drink container currently has liquid in it.

Before the player makes a Healing SC, the player can announce that they are using their coaster. The player takes a drink, and flips the coaster face down. the player then makes the Healing Roll SC and calculates the results. The player then rolls a d20 and adds (or subtracts) the roll to the RESULTS of the Healing SC. Exploding Crits do apply.

If the drinking container contains the soft drink “Dr. Pepper” at the time of the use, the d20 roll CANNOT explode DOWN, but it CAN still explode UP.

If signed by Agent Jessie Stevenson, Additional (+1) to results.

NOTE: This can only be used ONCE per gaming session. It CANNOT be used to counteract or change the effects of any other RWA or Destiny Point, nor can any other RWA or Destiny Point interfere with the use of this RWA..Item description

  • It’s a Government Job…

    • The player takes a drink of the liquid before they roll, and

    • There is liquid in the cup, and

    • The tumbler has NOT been refilled at any point during the session.

If the liquid in the Special Agent Tumbler is caffeinated, the conditional modifier is (+20) instead of (+10).

  • “Celebrating” 2021 by Rolling (Part 1)

This is a game. Played with dice. You have to roll at least one d20, right? Why not get a bonus for doing so?

If you use a die/dice that was transported to the game in this bag, you can re-roll a single die once per session. To re-roll another die, you must draw a SECOND die from the bag to use this RWA again.

NOTE: This can only be used TWICE per gaming session per player (Only ONCE per individual die). It CANNOT be used to counteract or change the effects of any other RWA or Destiny Point, nor can any other RWA or Destiny Point interfere with the use of this RWA.

  • “Celebrating” 2021 by Rolling (Part 2)

You need something to roll those beautiful math rocks on or in. So why not get a bonus for it? If you use the mat to roll your dice on, you can take a (+10) conditional modifier once per session.

How could we make this better? If you use the rolling mat inside an OFFICIAL Section 28 Dice Tray, you will be able to add a (+1) conditional modifier to every die roll inside the dice tray/mat combination. This can be added to any bonuses from other RWAs.

NOTE: The (+10) conditional modifier can only be used ONCE per gaming session. It CANNOT be used to counteract or change the effects of any other RWA or Destiny Point, nor can any other RWA or Destiny Point interfere with the use of this RWA.

  • Apparently you ARE special…

When somebody asks you if you think you are special, tell them YES – at least in Hidden Worlds: Incursion. And with this shirt – you will be special enough to have just a bit more protection – occasionally.

Once per session, you have the option to take a conditional modifier to Combat: Evade either before you roll the die, or after. If you choose to declare the modifier before you roll the die, you can add a (+21) conditional modifier to a Combat: Evade SC or OC. If you choose to declare the modifier after a Combat: Evade roll. You can add a (+11) conditional modifier to the SC or OC results.

NOTE: You cannot add a modifier before and after. The shirt modifier can only be used ONCE per session. It CANNOT be used to counteract or change the effects of any other RWA or Destiny Point, nor can any other RWA or Destiny Point interfere with the use of this RWA.
