Vampires. Fairies. Dragons. Oh My!

Team Knightmare was recruited from special forces, law enforcement, FBI HRT, private contractors, and even the Vatican, the members of Team Knightmare are the best at what they do. Now their skills are being used to save humanity from threats that they had never dreamed about. Knightmare is called into the missions that require their particular brand of violence. When monsters hunt humanity, Team Knightmare hunts the monsters.

Special Agent James Smith is the enigmatic heart of Section 28. No one knows how long Agent Smith has been working for the agency. Rumors talk of Agent Smith being one of the founding agents during World War II. Although he won’t confirm it, he does seem to know where all the bodies are buried.

Agent Smith recruited Team Knightmare in preparation for an Extinction Level Incursion predicted by Esoteric Analysis. Can the team be ready?

Colorado has a vampire problem, and they don’t even know it yet!

Evil exists. I’ve seen evil. Not your garden variety, child molester or axe murderer kind of evil. I’ve seen real evil as its jaws chewed up an infant, swallowing the large chunks whole. I watched in horror as evil ate the soul of my partner.

The nightmares are real. Darkness exists. And I and a handful of people stand in the gap, protecting humanity from an evil that they don’t even know about.

Do not pity me, I don’t deserve it. I’m the one who chose to fight. I chose to fight monsters. Do not fear me. I only hunt the monsters.

This is my story. Pray that it does not become yours.

– Journal of an unidentified Field Agent

A small town in the foothills of the Rockies is under assault from a nest of vampires, and an elite secret government team is sent in to protect the town.

Knightmare is a new, elite government team tasked with controlling and eradicating monsters not of this world. Brought together from the best armed forces, federal law enforcement, and even the Vatican, their first mission should be an easy one. It is a glorified training mission to hunt a couple new vampires.

What could go wrong?

Massacre at a fae nightclub, and all evidence points to human attackers.

I thought the monsters were bad. I can handle zombies. They’re easy to kill. Werewolves require silver to put down, but they can be stopped. Vampires are tough, but at least you know what they want.

But these are the fae. They live according to their own laws, and you never know which way they are going to go. I have seen them smile and compliment a person to the face while plotting to rip their throat out the next.

Consider yourself warned.

– Journal of an unidentified Field Agent

The Seelie queen has issued an ultimatum: Bring the attackers to justice or wage war with all fae.

Knightmare is a top secret government action team that finds, and eliminates, monsters that threaten humanity. It has been months since the team’s first mission. This time, there is a fae war brewing, and humanity is stuck in the middle.

Can Knightmare discover who perpetrated the massacre?

And can they find out in time to avert a war with the fae?

An ancient enemy has returned, attacking Section 28 and throwing the agency into chaos.

I feared this day would come. Yes, we’ve made enemies over the years, but they have never been this brazen. Now we find ourselves under attack from external and internal threats. I do not know if we will survive this time. I do not know if I will survive.

We still have to continue to protect the United States and the world. We will find out how many allies Section 28 still has. I only hope that we can endure.

 – Journal of J. Smith, Director of Section 28

As other government agencies work to investigate the attack, the few survivors try to put their agency back together. And then the second attack comes.

As Knightmare takes the fight to their enemy, footage of the attacks leak onto the internet, exposing the existence of the agency and the esoteric threats they face. The public outcry enables enemies inside their own government to attack the very existence of Section 28 from the inside.

The survival of Section 28 and Team Knightmare may rely on the mysterious origins of Agent Smith. Can they last long enough to find out?

VAMPIRES, FAIRIES, AND DRAGONS. OH MY!

Occasionally, the edges of our reality blur and grow thin. Section 28 is a secret division of Homeland Security that is specially recruited and trained to deal with the beings that come through the weak spots.

In book one, INCURSION: Knightmare, the newest team of Section 28 is recruited and sent on a simple training mission to kill a couple brand new vampires in rural Colorado. Somebody should have told the vampires it was supposed to be easy.

In book two, INCURSION: Faeblade, the now-veteran team is sent to investigate a massacre at a fae nightclub in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The mission is a race against time to find the culprits before war erupts between the fae courts and humanity.

In book three, INCURSION: Dragonfire, Section 28 has been attacked by external enemies. As they recover from the devastation, Knightmare takes the fight to their enemy. Unfortunately, Section 28 is also forced to defend themselves from forces inside their own government.

The Knight’s Bane Trilogy-Omnibus Edition gathers all of the novels into one collection with an 800-page book that will look great on your shelf.
